Home / Why Mac Zero / Social Value

We appreciate the wider benefits that modular construction projects create for people, communities, and society beyond the physical building itself. Mac Zero focuses on how our construction process, and the finished building contributes to social, economic, and environmental well-being. We measure the impact throughout the lifecycle of a modular building project including job creation, skill development, community wellbeing, improved safety, faster delivery of essential infrastructure and enhanced sustainability outcomes.

Creating Lasting Community Impact

Sustainability in Action

Mac Zero partners with Willowbank Garden Centre, a Dungannon social enterprise supporting adults with physical disability and/or sensory impairment, to gift or plant an indigenous tree for every project completed, advancing our social value and #movetozero commitments.

Two smiling adults, a woman and a man, holding potted plants in a garden center on a sunny day. The woman has blonde hair and is wearing a beige blazer with a patterned blouse; the man has gray hair and is wearing a dark vest with a logo, and they are planting or tending to plants.

School Engagement Programme

Mac Zero welcomed 20 students from St Patrick’s College, Dungannon, to our factory - the first step in our new school mentoring outreach to give the next generation real exposure to engineering and construction careers.

A group of young students and an adult man wearing high-visibility yellow vests gathered around a wooden table indoors, possibly in a school or workshop, with construction or electrical work underway overhead.

Community Sport Sponsorship

Mac Zero is proud to sponsor An Mhaigh Tír na nÓg GAA Club in Moy, continuing a 30-year family association and supporting over 170 youth players through team jerseys and club branding.

A group of young male athletes in blue sports jerseys with the logo GAA and sponsors, posing with two adults, one man and one woman, on a grass field under a stadium roof. They are holding a large sign that reads 'MAC ZERO' and 'SUSTAINABLE MODULAR BUILDINGS Nothing less'.

Supporting Mental Health

Mac Zero is proud to support The Lighthouse Charity—the only UK and Ireland charity dedicated to construction workers’ wellbeing—by training Mental Health First Aiders and delivering awareness sessions across our workforce.

Four people standing outdoors in front of a building with a large sign that reads "MAC ZERO" and a smaller sign that says "Sustainable Modular Building". They are holding a sign that says "lighthouse The Construction Charity" with a lighthouse graphic. All are smiling and wearing jackets with the "MAC ZERO" logo.
